volvo ocean race pavillions
transitory; third year
This set of pavillions would be a pair that would pack flat into a shipping container. While the Ocean Race was going on, one pavilion would be sent to the next landing site of the boats and assembled in order to support the team at shore. Octagons make the configuration infinitely repeatable, with hooks to connect a tarp to provide shelter if bigger crowds were to attend the boats' stop. Corrugated metal would make the walls easily stackable, thus making more space in the packing container. Only necessary pavillions were insulated again to save space as well as money. This idea could be easily adapted to many different module quick construction solutions.
